RULES FOR DISCIPLINE

  1. All students must be in their seats before the Teacher enters the Class.
  2. Class Monitors should maintain silence in the absence of the Teacher.
  3. Students are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives and other dangerous materials to School.
  4. Students are allowed to wear colour dress on their birthdays and on Children’s Day (Nov. 14) and on any of the day as & when instructed.
  5. Girl students should not wear nail polish and make up. Hair coloring is strictly prohibited for both boys and girls.
  6. Students should remain in classes in the absence of teachers and should not step out of the class during the class hours.
  7. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students who leave the campus or come late to class without permission.
  8. It is mandatory for students to carry the NIS Pass whenever they move out of the class (even while going to the washroom).
  9. Students should be responsible enough in taking care of the school’s properties and should keep their classroom neat and tidy. They should also ensure that the ACs, fans & lights are switched off before they leave the classroom.
  10. Use of unparliamentary language, group fights, instigating students to indulge in indisciplinary activities is strictly prohibited and is liable for severe punishment.
  11. Possession/consumption of alcohol, drugs or smoking inside the school premises is strictly prohibited and is liable for punishment or even expulsion.
  12. Girls and boys should not meet privately in secluded areas and public display of affection will not be tolerated/permitted.
  13. Students posting derogatory remarks or abusive language/Photos on the social media about teachers, schoolmates or school authorities will be liable for severe punishmefnt. Any such instance noticed will be referred to the Cyber Cell, Kingdom of Bahrain for further procedures.
  14. Teachers or school authorities have all the right to check the school bags of any student at any time.
  15. Parents are not permitted to walk through the corridor or walk inside the classes during class hours.
  16. CCTV Cameras have been installed in all corridors and in different pivotal points of the School Campus for better surveillance.
  17. Full time social workers/counselors monitor and assist the students to improve their behavioural issues and support them in stress related situations.
  18. Strict action will be taken against a student who is found bringing any smoking gadgets or other related equipments to the school.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND SCHOOL NETWORK GUIDELINES

Social Media is an evolving and rapidly growing communication platform, allowing for two-way social interaction between people and organizations. In short, Social Media is about people. Use of Social Media is reflective   of individuals and of organizations they are associated with. Social Media is changing the way we use the internet to interact with one another. It is rapidly becoming a part of our daily lives. Social Media refers to online community sites including Facebook, WhatsApp LinkedIn, file sharing sites such as YouTube; blogs, forums and micro-blogging sites like Twitter. These guidelines would be updated from time to time as new Social Media platforms, communities, trends and other forums.

Keeping the above in mind, remember:

  1. Protect your own Privacy: Do not upload post or divulge any information that will compromise your privacy or professional confidentiality. Beware of scammers and identity thieves. Only accept invitations to share information from people you know. Utilize privacy settings to control access to your network, web pages, profile, post blogs, etc.
  2. Identify with your own Identity: Always use your real name to post  or share content on Social Media. If you are sharing or posting content  on behalf of NIS, and wish to promote school activities or achievements identify yourself as a student or staff member.
  3. Maintain respect Sharing content, thoughts and views with others is the ideal of engaging in Social Media: Always be respectful and avoid inflammatory, racist or offensive language. Do not upload offensive or explicit written, audio and video content.
  4. Be responsible online: You are responsible for any content or comments personally made by you. Always maintain a clear and calm-minded approach for sharing any conftent online. Ensure that you always protect your privacy and do not insult, threaten or deride anyone on the grounds of caste, religion, race, nation, gender or circumstances in a manner that goes against NIS’ code of conduct.
  5. Think before making any post: Social Media has a strong ‘viral’ quotient, making any comment, post or sharing of thoughts, ideas or events reach out to people worldwide in a matter of seconds. Be mindful of what you post. Search engines and archival systems save information, which can be retrieved years after the post has been made.
  6. Cyber bullying is considered as an act of harassment. Do not indulge in this crime in any manner whatsoever.

    No books, periodicals, comics, newspaper or printed matter of an objectionable nature, CDs, DVDs, pen drives or any other mass storage device can be brought into the school. All printed material (except those mentioned in the school book-list), when brought into the school, must be presented to the Principal / Vice Principal for approval and may be retained in the school and read only if it bears the signature of one of these authorities. The school authorities have the right to search the bags of the students at any time, without any prior notice. Cell phones, Cameras, books and other articles brought to school without authorization will be confiscated and shall not be returned to the owner.

     

    Parents/guardians, threatening the school through various methods, levelling malicious or false allegations or spreading rumours or giving false information which tends to bring into disrepute the school or its employees, or spreading panic among them, might result in expulsion of their ward and the matter will be reported to the Electronics Safety/Cyber Security Department of the MOI, Kingdom of Bahrain and legal action will be taken against those who involved. Negative/wrong/non-constructive publicity caused by any student/parent can lead to a dismissal of the student.

    Admittance into the school premises is at the sole discretion of the school authorities, who reserve to themselves the right to refuse admission to anyone without assigning any reason, whatsoever.

    School campus is a tobacco free and a non - smoking zone at all times. It is also cell phone and plastic free. Exemplary behaviour is expected from all persons in the school campus.

    Though the school takes good care of all the students while they are in school, the school cannot be held responsible for any self-inflicted or accidental mishap/injury, physical or otherwise, that may befall them.

     

    Legal   action   will   be   initiated   through   the  ANTI-CYBER CRIME DIRECTORATE   OF  THE  KINGDOM  OF  BAHRAIN,  MINISTRY  OF INTERIOR against individuals/ students who deliberately post or publish any obscene/ malicious and derogatory contents in the zoom classes or any other digital programs of the school.

     INSTRUCTIONS TO THE STUDENTS

  1. Students are expected to be in School before 8.00 a.m., everyday.
  2. Latecomers will be allowed inside the School, but it should not be a habit. Continuous irregularity will be dealt as per the school rules.
  3. Students should wear a clean uniform, prescribed for the day of the week.
  4. Boys should come to School, clean shaven with proper haircut and with no gel or hair spray. They should refrain from having side burns, fancy hairstyles and beards (except on religious grounds with due permission). Girls should come with two plaits (KG - X). Girls of Std XI and XII should come with one plait regularly. Girls with bobbed hair should use a plain black head band. Students should wear clean socks and well polished black shoes. (Sneakers and sports shoes are permitted only on PET days
  5. Students should carry their Diary and ID Card to School everyday.
  6. Text Books and Note Books should be brought to School according to the Time Table. Parents must supervise the time table daily.
  7. Students should cover the Note Books and Text Books with Brown Cover and neatly label them.
  8. All other articles should bear the owner’s name.
  9. Students are encouraged to use only ink pens (from Std V). Ballpoint pens should not be used for any type of School work. Only blue ink should be used. Students are forbidden to use whitener. Only ink eraser should be used.
  10. Students are expected to behave in a courteous manner on all occasions. They should address their Teachers and all members of the Staff with due respect and politeness. Good moral behaviour and good manners are the prerequisites of every student.
  11. Students are responsible for the cleanliness of their classrooms and surroundings. They should not write or scratch on desks, chairs, walls or  doors  of  the  School  nor  damf age  property  belonging  to  others. Penalty will be collected in case of damages.
  12. School is not responsible for the loss of money / articles. Exchange / borrowing / lending of articles or money is strictly prohibited.
  13. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students who indulge in malpractice during examinations or tests.
  14. Any student who is found tampering with marks in the Report Card and other School Certificates, will be dismissed from the School, without any notice.
  15. Students are expected to participate in all co-curricular and extra curricular activities of the School.
  16. Students are not permitted to visit cold stores or supermarkets after entering the school premises.
